1. World Health Day or also known as global health awareness day is celebrated on April 7th every year.

2. WHO- World Health Organization initiated the first assembly in the year 1948.

3. World Health day has a theme for every year.

4.From 2006-2020 they focused on health and climatic change, hospitals, urban health , food safety, diabetics, ageing factor, blood pressure, threat on insect bites, depression, Primary health care and support nurses who battled during pandemic times.

5. This year WHO is focusing on the theme our planet, our health

6. Our Mother Earth is polluted from the deepest oceans to the highest top of mountains with all the unwanted things specifically “PLASTICS”.

7. We are living in this garbage for decades with breeding mosquitoes, breathing the most harmful polluted air, extreme climatic change, water scarcity and don’t forget about the high intake of processed food. These bad factors led us to Asthma, cancer, heart attacks and many more diseases.

8. The solution to these problems is in our hands – The Future Generation.

A. Limit Plastics. Use recyclable bags

B. Protest industries for burning fossil fuel like oil, coal and natural gas.

C. Build public toilets because untreated human waste makes us sick and spoil our eco system. Provide clean and good Sanitation.

D. Walk or ride bicycle once a week.

D. Stop Deforestation

E. Save and Conserve Water. Use Recycled water.

Interesting facts about Fever


1.The normal temperature of a human body is 97 to 99.6 Fahrenheit.

2.If the body temperature is more than 100.4 it is considered as Fever.

3.When you check the body temperature orally (Mouth) 99.6 F is considered as a Fever.

4.When you check the body temperature under armpit, 99 F or more is considered as a Fever.

5.Body temperature taken in the ear, 100.4 F or higher is considered as Fever.

6.Fever is also known as Pyrexia, which is more than normal body temperature and is a part of our body’s natural response to any kind of infection.

7.Fever is a protective reaction to fight against Pathogens like Bacteria, fungi, and viruses which enters your body to make you sick by killing your cells.

8.Pyrogens are chemicals produced by white blood cells/immune cells released in the blood stream.

9.Hypothalamus in the brain is responsible to tell us whether we are affected with fever.

10.Pyrogens bind to specific receptors of Hypothalamus in the brain, and rises the body temperature. Increased body temperature kills the pathogens that are sensitive to temperature changes and as they can’t survive they get killed.

1.      The Koala isn’t a bear, they're marsupials. Koalas are so adorable and sleepy animals that they can draw a crowd at any zoo.  Marsupials are mammals that born early (premature) then they will start growing attached to their mom’s nipples. Eg: Kangaroo. 

2.       Koala sleeps for more than 20 hours a day.

3.      Koala eats eucalyptus leaves and sleeps in the same tree. It eats 400 grams of leaves per day so it receives less energy. Koala limits the use of its energy and this is the reason behind its long resting hours.

4.      Koalas are of two kinds, they are Adustus from the Northern or Queensland Koalas and Victorian Koalas. Queensland Koala is the smallest. It has small head, silver hairy fur and short body. The largest koala is Victorian Koala which has big wide head, brown hair.

5.      Male koala has curvy nose compared to the female. In a Male Koala, the chest glands are visible in the hairless area on its body.

6.      Koala’s paw has four fingers/toes. The claws are very sharp which helps to climb the trees and hold the branches.

7.      Koala has the smallest brain compared to the weight of body of any mammals.

8.      Koala has good smelling and hearing senses but it has a poor vision. It’s smaller eyes and vertical slit pupil makes bad eye sight.

9.      Baby Koala is called Joey.  A koala joey is two centimetres long. They have no hair, no ears at all, and can’t see. Immediately, they crawl into their mother's pouch after birth, and stay there for about six months until they are ready to get out.

10.  Koala’s life span is 13 to 18 years. The female Koalas live longer than the Male. If the Koala falls from the tree, it manages to climb back. Only the young ones get injured and die due to the accidental fall.

1.    Strawberry belongs to Rose family – Rosaceae. Nuts, fruits and cherries like Almond, Apricot, Chokecherry, peach and so on comes under this family.

2.      Strawberry, the name was formed from Strewn + berries. The plant spreads its branches and scattered the fruits in everywhere. An average strawberry has around 200 seeds.

3.      Strawberries are categorized into three types: Day bearing, June bearing and neutral.

4.      Strawberries are good for skin. It contains anti inflammatory, anti oxidants and astringents. It protects your skin from UV Rays and delay ageing. That’s why many face creams, lotions and scrubs come in strawberry flavor.

8.      Strawberry flower has multiple ovaries. During Fertilization all the ovaries form fruits without swelling.  The receptacle in the centre of flower swells and turns into edible part of strawberry.

9.      The tiny fruits get stuck to the surface of the receptacle and the petals will fall off. So the seeds on the outer surface of the strawberry are tiny fruits.  Each tiny fruit contains a seed.

1.     The largest organ of the body is the Skin. It is an amazing organ – protective, flexible, waterproof and act like a major sensor.

2.      Skin constantly changes and regenerates itself. Skin contains 64% of water. Our Skin is thicker than a piece of paper.

5.      There are four layers of skin in our body. Epidermis is the thinnest layer whereas Dermis is the thickest layer of our skin.

8.      We have different skin color because of the pigment called Melanin and Ultraviolet radiation of the sun.
